A group of Italian players in blue celebrate under a dark stadium sky, medals around their necks, a tricolor scarf draped over one shoulder and the golden trophy at the bottom left. Four of them are tagged with thin boxes and bold condensed captions: Gladiatore, La Tempesta, Superpippo and Pinturicchio. It feels like a “who’s who” of a squad whose nicknames are as famous as they are. The grainy, blurry look adds to the feeling of an old celebration photo.
It’s a poster for people who remember the nicknames better than the stats. It suits a football fan’s room, a man cave, an office or a sports corner, and it’s a good conversation starter among friends who argue about who was who.
